This guide explains how to create, edit, and review individual announcements in the Admin Platform.
Use it when you want to:
- send an announcement to your whole organization
- send an announcement to learners in selected courses
- update the title, audience, or content of an existing announcement
- review announcement details after it is published
- delete an announcement from its detail page
Open The Announcement Creation Page
To create a new announcement:
- Go to Management > Announcements.
- Select Create.
OpenMirai then opens the announcement editor.
Understand The Announcement Editor
The announcement editor includes:
- a back button
- a section list for easier navigation
- a save bar
- an About section
- a Courses section when the announcement target is set to Course
Use this page when you want to prepare the audience, title, and full message in one place.
Use The Save Bar
The save bar appears when you make changes.
Use it to save the announcement after you finish reviewing the details.
After saving successfully, OpenMirai returns you to the main announcement list.
Choose The Target
In the About section, use the Target field to choose who the announcement is for.
You can choose:
- Organization to send the announcement across your organization
- Course to send the announcement to learners in selected courses
Choose the target carefully because it changes which extra fields appear on the page.
Important detail:
- if you switch from Course to Organization, OpenMirai removes the selected course list because organization announcements do not use course selection
Choose The Audience For Organization Announcements
When the target is set to Organization, OpenMirai shows the Audience field.
You can choose:
- Everyone
- Learners Only
- Instructors Only
Use this setting when the message should only go to a specific group inside the organization.
Important detail:
- you must choose an audience before saving an organization announcement
Enter The Announcement Title
Use the Title field to enter the main heading for the announcement.
Choose a short, clear title so users can understand the message quickly from the announcement list and detail page.
Write The Announcement Detail
Use the Detail editor to write the full announcement content.
This is the main body of the message that users will read after opening the announcement.
Use clear wording here when you want to share:
- updates
- reminders
- schedule changes
- notices for learners or instructors
Use The Courses Section For Course Announcements
When the target is set to Course, OpenMirai shows a Courses section.
Use this section to choose which course learners should receive the announcement.
Add Courses To A Course Announcement
In the Courses section, select Add courses to open the course selection dialog.
Inside the dialog, OpenMirai lets you:
- search for courses
- filter the course list
- select one or more courses
- add the selected courses to the announcement
After you add them, the selected courses appear on the page as course cards.
Important detail:
- you must add at least one course before saving a course announcement
Review Selected Courses
After adding courses, OpenMirai shows the selected courses directly in the Courses section.
Use this list to confirm that the announcement will go to the right course groups.
When you edit an existing course announcement, OpenMirai also shows the current number of selected courses in this section.
Remove A Course Before Saving
Each selected course card includes a Remove action.
Use it when:
- the wrong course was added
- the announcement should go to fewer courses
- you want to adjust the final audience before saving
Save A New Announcement
After you complete the required fields, use the save bar to create the announcement.
OpenMirai saves the post and returns you to the main announcement list.
Open An Existing Announcement
To review one announcement in full:
- Go to Management > Announcements.
- Select the announcement you want to open.
OpenMirai then opens the announcement detail page.

The announcement detail page shows:
- the announcement title
- the last updated date and time
- the creator role badge
- the creator name
- the full announcement content
Use this page when you want to read the announcement as a complete published post.
Review Creator Information
The metadata line under the title helps you understand who created the announcement.
This area can show:
- whether the creator is an Instructor, Admin, or Super Admin
- the creator's display name
- the last updated time
Use this when you need more context about who posted the message and when it was last changed.
Review Course Target Information
For course announcements, the detail page can also show the course name in the header area.
If the announcement is linked to more than one course, OpenMirai shows the first course name and then a summary such as (+2 more) for the rest.
Use this as a quick check that the announcement is attached to the correct course group.
Read The Full Announcement Content
The main content area shows the full announcement body.
This is where OpenMirai renders the message you entered in the Detail editor.
Use this page when you want to review the final wording after publishing.
Use The Announcement Action Menu
The announcement detail page includes an action menu.
Available actions are:
- Edit
- Delete
Use this menu when you need to change or remove the announcement after opening it.

- audience
- title
- detail content
- selected courses for course announcements
After saving, OpenMirai returns you to the announcement list.
Delete An Announcement From The Detail Page
Use Delete only when the announcement should be permanently removed.
