Review an Admin Profile and Manage Permissions in the Admin Platform
Learn how to use the admin detail page in the Admin Platform to review an admin profile, manage permission templates and access levels, update profile settings, and activate deactivate or delete an admin account.
This guide explains how to use an individual admin profile in the Admin Platform.
Use it when you want to:
- review one admin account in more detail
- manage permission access for an admin
- apply or create permission templates
- update profile information and internal tags
- activate, deactivate, or delete an admin account
Open An Admin Profile
To open an admin profile:
- Go to Management > Members > Admins.
- Select the admin you want to review.
OpenMirai then opens that admin’s profile page.
Understand The Profile Header
At the top of the page, OpenMirai shows an admin profile header.
This area can include:
- profile image
- profile name
- email address
- assigned tags
Use this area when you want quick context before reviewing permissions or profile settings.
Understand The Tabs
Depending on your own role and the account you are viewing, the profile page can show:
- Permissions
- Settings
Important detail:
- the Permissions tab is only available to super admins
If you are not a super admin, you may only see the Settings tab.
Use The Permissions Tab
The Permissions tab is where super admins manage what another admin can access.
This tab includes:
- a template selector
- an Add template role button
- a permission search field
- grouped permission sections
- access-level selectors
- a save bar
Use this tab when you want to update the admin’s platform permissions without changing their profile details.
Apply A Template Role
Use the template selector to apply an existing permission template to the admin.
This is useful when:
- the admin should match a standard internal role
- you want consistent permissions across several admins
- you want to update permissions faster than editing each setting one by one
Add A New Template Role
Use Add template role when you want to create a reusable permission template.
OpenMirai shows a dialog where you can:
- enter a template name
- review permission sections
- choose access levels for each permission
- save the template for future use
Use this when your organization needs repeatable permission setups for similar admin roles.
Search Permissions
Use the permission search field to find one permission more quickly.
This is useful when the permission list is long and you only need to update one area.
Update Permission Access Levels
Each permission row includes an access-level selector.
Use it to change what the admin can do in that area of the platform.
When you change a permission manually, OpenMirai clears the currently selected template so the admin can have a custom permission setup.
Save Permission Changes
When you make permission changes, OpenMirai shows a save bar.
Use it to save the updated access settings for that admin.
Understand The Super Admin View State
If the admin profile you open belongs to a super admin, the Permissions tab shows an informational full-access message instead of an editable permission matrix.
Use this as confirmation that permission settings do not apply in the same way to super admin accounts.
Use The Settings Tab
The Settings tab is where you review and update the admin’s profile information.
This tab includes:
- a save bar
- basic profile fields
- a profile photo field
- description and tag fields
- a danger zone for account actions
Review Basic Information
The Basic Information section can show:
- first name
- last name
- phone number
- profile photo
Important detail:
- the email field is read-only on this page
Use the other fields when you need to correct or update the admin’s profile details.
Update The Profile Photo
Use the Profile Photo field when the admin’s image needs to be added or replaced.
This helps keep the admin directory current and easier to recognize.
Update Description And Tags
The Content & Categories section lets you update:
- the admin description
- internal tags
Use the description field to add or refine profile context.
Use tags to organize admins internally. OpenMirai describes these tags as hidden from learners and instructors.
Save Profile Changes
When you change profile settings, OpenMirai shows a save bar.
Use it to save the updated profile after reviewing your changes.
Use The Danger Zone
The Danger Zone section includes actions that affect the admin account itself.
Available actions can include:
- Inactive Admin or Activate Admin
- Delete Admin
Use these actions carefully because they affect platform access and account availability.
Deactivate Or Reactivate An Admin
If the admin is currently active, the page shows Inactive Admin.
If the admin is currently inactive, the page shows Activate Admin.
OpenMirai shows a confirmation dialog before applying either change.
Use this when an admin should temporarily lose access or regain access without deleting the account.
Delete An Admin
Use Delete Admin only when the account should be permanently removed.
OpenMirai shows a confirmation dialog before deletion.
Use this action carefully because it cannot be undone.
If The Page Is Still Loading
When the admin profile first opens, OpenMirai can show loading states while it retrieves:
- admin profile details
- available role templates
- category options
Wait until the page finishes loading before making changes.
If A Field Needs Attention
If required information is missing or invalid, OpenMirai shows validation feedback in the affected field.
Common examples include:
- missing first or last name
- missing phone number
- invalid description content
- incomplete permission changes
Review the highlighted field, correct it, and save again.
