Review Platform Billing And Usage

Learn how to use the Admin Platform billing and usage page to review block usage, understand usage categories, expand category breakdowns, open related items, and manage billing settings.

This guide explains how to use the Platform Billing & Usage page in the Admin Platform.

Use it when you want to:

  • see how many blocks your organization has used
  • compare usage across categories
  • review which items are consuming blocks
  • open related courses, bundles, products, pages, or members from the usage table
  • check whether usage is close to your limit
  • open the billing dashboard

Open The Billing And Usage Page

To open the page:

  1. Go to System > Billings & Usage.

This page helps admins understand how much platform usage has already been consumed and which content or assets are responsible for it.

Understand The Usage Summary

At the top of the page, OpenMirai shows:

  • the page title
  • a summary of blocks used compared with the total block limit
  • a multi-color usage bar

The summary helps you quickly see how close your organization is to its current limit.

Read The Usage Bar

The usage bar is divided into colored segments.

Each segment represents a usage category, such as:

  • courses
  • bundles
  • products
  • object storage
  • video storage
  • custom pages
  • AI block conversions
  • members

Use the bar when you want a fast visual sense of which areas use the most blocks.

Watch For High-Usage Warnings

If usage reaches a high threshold, OpenMirai can show a warning banner near the top of the page.

This warning explains that going beyond your block limit will trigger pay-as-you-go billing.

Use this warning as a signal to review your usage more closely or adjust billing settings before extra charges begin.

Open The Billing Dashboard

If your account has the required permission, the page can show a Manage Billing & PAYG Limits button.

Use this button when you want to:

  • manage subscription billing
  • review pay-as-you-go settings
  • adjust block-related billing limits

OpenMirai opens the central billing dashboard in a new browser tab.

Understand The Usage Category Table

Below the summary area, OpenMirai shows a category table.

The table includes columns for:

  • category
  • blocks
  • breakdown

Use this table when you want a more detailed view than the summary bar provides.

Read Each Category Row

Each category row shows:

  • the category name
  • the number of blocks used in that category
  • whether an item-level breakdown is available

If there are related items behind that category, the row includes a button such as Show items.

If there are no linked item details, the row shows a message instead of an expand button.

Expand A Category Breakdown

Use the breakdown button on a category row when you want to see which items are using blocks in that category.

When you open a category:

  1. OpenMirai expands that category row.
  2. An item table appears underneath it.

Only one category stays expanded at a time. Opening a different category closes the previous one.

Understand The Expanded Item Table

When a category is expanded, the item table can show:

  • item name
  • item type
  • resolution for video storage items
  • blocks used
  • a link button to the related page

Use this table when you want to identify the exact item that is driving usage.

Many usage items include a link button in the last column.

Use this button to open the related page for that item.

Depending on the item, OpenMirai may take you to:

  • another page inside the Admin Platform
  • the Visual Editor for a custom page
  • the Instructor Platform for course or content management

Understand Cross-Platform Confirmation

Some usage items belong to areas managed in the Instructor Platform.

When that happens, OpenMirai can show a confirmation dialog before taking you there.

Use this confirmation step when you want to continue from Admin into the Instructor Platform safely.

Review Video Resolution Details

For Video Storage categories, OpenMirai can show a resolution value in the item table.

Select the resolution value when you want to see all available resolutions for that video item.

This is useful when you want to understand whether higher-resolution video storage is contributing to usage.

Use Pagination In Expanded Tables

If a category contains many items, OpenMirai can split the breakdown across multiple pages.

Use the pagination controls under the expanded table to move through the full list.

If No Item Breakdown Is Available

Some categories may not have item-level details.

When that happens, OpenMirai shows a No item details message in the breakdown column instead of an expand control.

This means you can still review the category total, but there is no deeper list to open from this page.

If The Page Is Loading

While usage data is being loaded, OpenMirai shows loading states in the summary and the category table.

Wait until the data appears before comparing usage or opening a breakdown.
