Use Platform Status To Finish Setup

Learn how to use the Admin Platform status page to track setup progress, open unfinished setup tasks, recognize required versus suggested items, and try key platform features.

This guide explains how to use the Platform status page in the Admin Platform.

Use it when you want to:

  • see how close your platform is to being fully set up
  • find unfinished setup tasks quickly
  • understand which setup items are required and which are optional
  • open the next page you need to configure
  • try common Admin and Instructor Platform actions after setup

Open The Platform Status Page

To open the page:

  1. Go to System > Platform Status.

This page works like a setup dashboard. It helps you see what is already finished and what still needs attention.

Understand The Status Legend

At the top of the page, OpenMirai shows a legend with status types such as:

  • Must Config
  • Suggested Config
  • Finished

Use this legend to understand the meaning of the icons and colors used in the setup cards below.

Understand The Completion Bar

Below the legend, OpenMirai shows a completion bar.

This bar is based on the main setup steps that matter for launch readiness.

Use it when you want a quick answer to questions like:

  • how many setup steps are still unfinished
  • whether the platform is almost ready
  • whether the remaining work is required or just recommended

Understand The Fully Setup Section

The first card section on the page is the main setup checklist.

Each card represents a setup area, such as:

  • payment setup
  • organization details
  • website customization
  • first course creation
  • course categories
  • certificate setup
  • admin profile

Use this section when you want to move directly into the next setup task.

Open A Setup Card

Each setup card is clickable.

Select a card to open the related setup page or flow.

This is useful when you want to:

  • finish a required launch task
  • return to an unfinished setup area
  • open a settings page without searching through the sidebar

Understand Required Vs Suggested Setup

Not every setup card has the same importance.

Some cards represent tasks that are treated as required for platform readiness.

Other cards are suggested improvements that help complete the platform experience but do not always block progress.

Use the card status and the legend together to understand what should be handled first.

Understand The Payment Setup Card

The Payment setup card has special behavior.

Depending on the current setup state:

  • it can open Stripe setup in a new browser tab
  • or it can open the billing and usage area inside the Admin Platform

If the card leads to Stripe, OpenMirai also shows a hint that setup continues in Stripe.

Use this card when you need to finish payment onboarding before launch.

Understand Finished Cards

When a setup task is complete, its card shows a finished state.

Use finished cards as confirmation that the related step has already been handled.

You can still open the card again if you want to review or update that part of the setup later.

Understand The Try Features Section

Below the main setup cards, OpenMirai shows a second group of cards for feature exploration.

These cards are for trying common platform actions after setup, such as:

  • creating courses
  • creating bundles
  • creating a promotion
  • inviting an instructor
  • inviting an admin
  • switching to the Instructor Platform

Use this section when you want practical next steps after the core platform setup is done.

Know The Difference Between Setup And Try Features

The Try features cards are suggestions.

They do not increase the completion progress shown in the completion bar.

Use them as guided next actions, not as required launch tasks.

Switch To The Instructor Platform

One of the try-feature cards can take you to the Instructor Platform.

Use this when you want to move from Admin management tasks into instructor tools such as course creation and course editing.

Use Platform Status As A Quick Launcher

The Platform Status page is useful as an everyday shortcut, not only during first-time onboarding.

Come back to it when you want to:

  • check whether a setup area is still unfinished
  • reopen a settings page quickly
  • guide another admin through the remaining setup work
  • decide what to do next after initial setup

If The Page Is Still Loading

While OpenMirai is checking setup progress, the cards can show loading states.

Wait for the cards to finish loading before judging whether a step is complete or unfinished.
