Use The Admin Overview Dashboard
Learn how to use the Admin Platform overview dashboard to review business performance, filter results, read charts and tables, refresh the page, and export overview data.
This guide explains how to use the main Overview page in the Admin Platform.
Use it when you want to:
- review daily business performance at a glance
- compare results across different time periods
- filter the dashboard by category
- monitor revenue and registrations
- identify top-earning items
- keep up with recent reviews and transactions
Open The Overview Dashboard
The Overview page is the default landing page for the Admin Platform.
You can return to it at any time by selecting Overview from the sidebar.
Understand The Overview Page
The page includes:
- an expandable Filters panel
- a welcome header
- a Download action
- a last updated and refresh control
- summary metric cards
- a Revenue trend chart
- a Registration trend chart
- a Top earning items table
- a Recent reviews section
- a Recent transactions table
Use this page when you want a broad snapshot before moving into more detailed Admin sections.
Use The Filters Panel
At the top of the page, OpenMirai shows a filter panel that you can expand or collapse.
Available filters include:
- Interval
- Category
- Custom date range
When you change the filters, OpenMirai updates the overview widgets to match the selected view.
Choose A Time Interval
The Interval filter helps you switch between common reporting periods.
Available options include:
- Today
- Yesterday
- This week
- This month
- Last 30 days
- This year
- All time
Use this filter when you want to compare performance over standard time periods quickly.
Use A Custom Date Range
Use the Custom date range filter when the preset interval options do not match the period you want to review.
This is useful when:
- you want to review a campaign period
- you need a custom reporting window
- you want to compare a specific set of dates
Filter By Category
Use the Category filter when you want to focus the overview on certain parts of your catalog.
This is helpful when your organization manages many categories and you want a narrower business view.
Use The Download Action
The Download button lets you export overview analytics data using the current filter context on this page.
Use it when you want to:
- save an offline copy of the current overview data
- share the current view with others
- keep a record of results for reporting
On the current overview page, the download action starts directly from the page rather than sending you to a separate export page.
Use The Refresh Control
Near the top of the page, OpenMirai shows a last updated control.
Select it when you want to refresh the overview data manually.
While the page is refreshing, OpenMirai shows an updating state so you can tell that the dashboard is fetching the latest data.
Review The Summary Metrics
The summary card area gives you a quick snapshot of business performance.
Cards on this page can include:
- Gross revenue
- Total learners
- Total courses
- Total products
- Average order value
Use these cards when you want a quick top-line view before reading the detailed charts and tables.
Understand Percentage Change
Some summary cards can also show how the value changed compared with a previous period.
This helps you quickly see whether results are improving, staying flat, or declining.
When the selected interval is All time, OpenMirai may hide percentage comparisons because there is no earlier comparison period for that full-range view.
Read The Revenue Trend Chart
The Revenue trend chart shows revenue over time.
This chart can separate revenue by source, such as:
- courses
- bundles
- products
- subscriptions
Use it when you want to understand how each revenue source contributes to overall performance across the selected period.
Read The Registration Trend Chart
The Registration trend chart shows registrations over time.
It helps you understand how activity changes across different offer types, such as courses, bundles, and products.
Use it when you want to spot growth periods, slower periods, or changes in demand.
Use The Top Earning Items Table
The Top earning items table helps you compare the strongest performers across your revenue sources.
The table can include columns such as:
- ranking number
- item name
- item type
- units sold
- revenue
Use this table when you want to see which items are generating the most value.
Search And Filter Top Earning Items
Above the top earning table, OpenMirai shows controls for:
- search
- revenue source
- payment gateway
Use these controls when you want to narrow the table to a smaller group of items or sales types.
Sort And Page Through Top Earning Items
OpenMirai lets you sort the table by:
- units sold
- revenue
If there are many results, pagination appears below the table.
Use sorting and pagination when you want to compare more than the first visible set of items.
Review Recent Reviews
The Recent reviews section helps you monitor the latest feedback across supported item types.
The table can include:
- reviewer name
- a short review comment
- item name
- rating
- review date
Use this section when you want to stay aware of current learner and customer feedback without opening each item separately.
Search, Filter, And Sort Recent Reviews
The recent reviews section supports:
- an item type filter
- a search box
- sorting by rating
- sorting by date
- pagination
Use these controls when you want to focus on a specific kind of item, find a review quickly, or review the newest or highest-rated feedback first.
Review Recent Transactions
The Recent transactions table helps you track recent purchases and renewals.
The table can include:
- item name
- item type
- customer email
- receipt number
- revenue
- payment gateway
- transaction date
Use this section when you want a recent sales view without opening the full finance area.
Search, Filter, And Sort Recent Transactions
The recent transactions section supports:
- search
- revenue source filtering
- payment gateway filtering
- sorting by revenue
- sorting by date
- pagination
Use these controls when you want to find a specific transaction or focus on one sales channel.
If You See The Welcome Tutorial Dialog
When you first use the Admin Platform, OpenMirai may show a welcome dialog on the overview page.
This dialog can let you:
- start the tutorial
- skip the tutorial
Use the tutorial if you want a guided introduction to the main Admin areas.
If The Dashboard Is Empty
Some sections of the overview page can show empty states.
This can happen when:
- there is not enough activity for the selected period
- your filters are too narrow
- your search does not match any results
- there are no items on the current table page
Try broadening the interval, clearing filters, or changing the search to see more results.
