OpenMirai
Getting Started

Understand the Secure Portal Switching Screen

Learn what happens when OpenMirai securely moves you between the Admin and Instructor portals, what the loading and success messages mean, and what to do if the transfer cannot finish.

This guide explains the transfer screen that can appear when OpenMirai moves you from one portal to another.

Use it when you want to:

  • understand why a transfer screen appears during portal switching
  • know what the loading and success messages mean
  • retry the switch if OpenMirai cannot finish the transfer
  • understand when you may need to sign in again

What This Screen Is For

When you switch between the Admin portal and the Instructor portal, OpenMirai may briefly show a secure transfer screen.

This screen is used to move you into the other workspace without making you manually start the whole sign-in process again.

In most cases, OpenMirai handles this automatically and then sends you to the target portal.

When You May See This Screen

You may see this screen when:

  • you switch portals from the sidebar portal menu
  • OpenMirai needs to confirm your session before opening the other workspace
  • you open a portal-switching link that sends you into the Admin Platform

Important detail:

  • if your session is already ready for the target portal, OpenMirai may skip most of this screen and redirect you almost immediately

Understand The Loading State

While the transfer is in progress, OpenMirai shows a loading message such as:

  • Processing Authentication

During this step, OpenMirai is checking your session and preparing the destination portal.

You may also see a message that OpenMirai is verifying your permissions.

This is normal. Wait for the process to finish before trying again.

Understand The Success State

If the transfer finishes successfully, OpenMirai shows a success message and then redirects you automatically.

The page can briefly show:

  • Authentication Successful
  • a message that you are being redirected to the Admin portal

You usually do not need to do anything on this screen.

If The Transfer Fails

If OpenMirai cannot complete the switch, the page shows an error state such as:

  • Authentication Transfer Failed

This can happen for reasons such as:

  • the transfer link is no longer valid
  • the transfer link is incomplete
  • your network connection was interrupted
  • the platform could not finish the sign-in step
  • your account does not have permission to open the target area

Use Try Again

If the page shows Try Again, select it first.

This is the best next step when the issue was temporary, such as:

  • a short connection problem
  • a temporary sign-in problem
  • a session check that did not finish correctly the first time

Use Sign In If Needed

In some error states, OpenMirai shows a Sign In button instead.

Use this when:

  • the transfer link is invalid or expired
  • OpenMirai needs you to start a fresh sign-in

After signing in again, OpenMirai can continue to the target portal if your account has access.

If You See A Permission Message

If the error message says you are not authorized to access the resource, your account may not have access to the target portal or page.

In that case:

  1. Sign in again if OpenMirai asks you to.
  2. If the same message appears, contact the person who manages admin or instructor access for your organization.

What To Do If The Page Keeps Failing

If the transfer screen keeps failing:

  1. Check your internet connection.
  2. Try the transfer again.
  3. If OpenMirai shows Sign In, use it.
  4. Try switching portals again from the sidebar after you return to the platform.

If the problem continues after that, share the exact message shown on the transfer screen with your support contact.
