OpenMirai
Getting Started

Navigate the Admin Platform Sidebar and Breadcrumbs

Learn how to use the Admin Platform layout, move between sidebar sections, open grouped menus, work with the collapsed sidebar, and follow breadcrumb navigation at the top of the page.

This guide explains how to move around the Admin Platform.

Use it when you want to:

  • understand the main Admin layout
  • find platform sections in the sidebar
  • open grouped menus such as Members or Products
  • use the sidebar when it is collapsed
  • move around the platform on mobile
  • go back to earlier levels using breadcrumbs

Understand The Main Admin Layout

Most Admin pages use the same basic layout.

This layout includes:

  • a left sidebar for navigation
  • a top header area with breadcrumbs
  • a main content area on the right

Use this layout to move between major Admin tools without returning to a separate home screen each time.

Understand The Main Sidebar Sections

The sidebar groups Admin tools into major sections.

Depending on your access, you may see sections such as:

  • Overview
  • Management
  • Analytics
  • Marketing
  • Finance
  • System

Important detail:

  • your sidebar may look different from another admin’s sidebar because OpenMirai can hide pages that your account cannot access
  • some pages only appear when your organization has the related feature enabled

Open A Sidebar Page

To open a page:

  1. Select the page name in the sidebar.

OpenMirai then loads that section in the main content area.

The selected page is highlighted in the sidebar so you can see where you are.

Open Grouped Menus

Some sidebar entries contain more than one page.

For example, a section may open into child pages instead of going to a single screen right away.

To use a grouped menu:

  1. Select the section name in the sidebar.
  2. Choose the page you want from the list underneath.

Grouped sections can expand to show their child pages and collapse again when you no longer need them.

If one of the child pages is currently open, the parent section stays visually highlighted so you can see which group the page belongs to.

Use The Collapsed Sidebar

The Admin sidebar can collapse into a smaller icon-only view.

When the sidebar is collapsed:

  • page labels are hidden
  • icons stay visible
  • grouped sections open a small pop-out menu when you select the icon

Use this mode when you want more space for the main page content.

Use The Sidebar On Mobile

On smaller screens, the sidebar can open and close as a mobile panel.

To use it:

  1. Open the sidebar from the header.
  2. Select the page you want.

After you choose a page, OpenMirai closes the mobile sidebar automatically so you can continue working on the selected page.

Some sidebar items can open an external website instead of another Admin page.

For example, if your Finance tools include Stripe Connect, that link opens the Stripe dashboard in a new browser tab.

Use this when you need to move from OpenMirai into an external payment service without losing your current Admin page.

Use Breadcrumbs At The Top Of The Page

At the top of the layout, OpenMirai shows breadcrumbs.

Breadcrumbs help you understand where the current page sits inside the platform structure.

For example, they can show the path from a broader section into a more specific page.

Go Back Using Breadcrumbs

When earlier breadcrumb levels are available, you can select them to go back to that level.

Important details:

  • earlier breadcrumb levels are clickable only when OpenMirai can take you back to a real page
  • the current page appears as plain text and is not clickable

Use breadcrumbs when you want to move back up one level without reopening the sidebar and choosing the section again.

If A Sidebar Item Is Missing

If you expected to see a page but it is not in the sidebar, one of these may apply:

  • your admin role does not have access to that area
  • the related platform feature is not enabled for your organization
  • your page is still finishing its first load

If the page never appears and you believe you should have access, check with the person who manages admin permissions for your organization.
