Edit and Publish a Product in the Admin Platform

Learn how to edit a product in the Admin Platform, manage product status, update physical or digital setup, control delivery options, and review customer feedback.

This guide explains how to use the product detail page in the Admin Platform.

Use it when you want to:

  • update an existing product
  • publish or unpublish a product
  • hide or show a product
  • manage physical-product stock, availability, and delivery options
  • manage digital product files and preview files
  • review customer ratings and add curated external reviews

Open A Product Detail Page

To open this page:

  1. Go to Management > Products.
  2. Select the product you want to manage.

OpenMirai then opens that product’s detail page.

  • a short product description
  • a completion bar that shows setup progress and publish status
  • tabs for:
    • Product details
    • Reviews

Use The Header Actions

The action menu in the top-right area can include:

  • Preview sales page
  • Copy Product ID
  • Hide product or Show product
  • Delete product

Use these actions when you need quick product management tools without editing the form itself.

Important details:

  • Preview sales page opens the learner-facing sales page preview in a separate window
  • Copy Product ID copies the product’s internal ID to your clipboard
  • Hide, Show, and Delete all use confirmation dialogs before the change is applied

Understand The Completion Bar

The completion bar shows:

  • the product’s current status
  • how many setup steps are still incomplete
  • a Publish or Unpublish action, depending on the current status

Use this area when you want to see whether the product is ready to go live.

If the product is complete enough to publish, you can publish it from this bar. If the product is already live, you can unpublish it and move it back to draft status.

Use The Product Details Tab

The Product details tab is the main editing area.

It includes:

  • a save bar for updating changes
  • a section list on the left

  • title
  • product type
  • level
  • cover photo
  • preview video
  • media gallery
  • categories

  • the description editor shows a character count and has a 500-character limit
  • External buyer count is available on this page even though it is not part of the create flow

Change The Product Type

The product type options are:

  • Digital product
  • Physical product
  • Both (digital and physical)

When you change the type, OpenMirai updates the sections shown on the page.

For example:

  • physical products show quantity, availability, and delivery sections
  • digital products show digital file sections
  • products with both types show both sets of controls

Update Payment Settings

The Payment section lets you switch between:

  • Free
  • Paid

  • an estimated income field

Important details:

  • the price must be greater than 0
  • the income value is an estimate after payment processing fees
  • if your plan does not support paid content, the paid option can be locked behind an upgrade requirement

Update Visibility Settings

The Visibility section controls who can discover and access the product.

Available visibility options are:

  • Public
  • Unlisted
  • Internal (By Domain)
  • By Tag
  • Private

Use these options as follows:

  • Unlisted: hidden from marketplace and search, but available by direct link
  • Internal (By Domain): limited to signed-in learners with approved email domains
  • By Tag: limited to signed-in learners with matching learner tags
  • Private: hidden from discovery and direct links; access is controlled by admins

If you choose Internal (By Domain), OpenMirai shows an Allowed Domains field.

If you choose By Tag, OpenMirai shows an Allowed Tags field.

Manage Quantity For Physical Products

If the product includes a physical item, OpenMirai shows a Quantity section.

Use this field to set the current stock count for the product.

If the product is physical and no quantity is entered, OpenMirai shows validation feedback before the update can succeed.

Manage Availability For Physical Products

If the product includes a physical item, OpenMirai also shows an Availability section.

This section lets you choose whether the product is available:

  • in all countries and regions
  • only in your organization’s country
  • only in selected countries or regions

If you choose Specific countries or regions, OpenMirai shows a country selector so you can define exactly where the product can be ordered.

Add Or Edit Delivery Options

Physical products also include a Delivery section.

Use it to manage the delivery methods a learner can choose during checkout.

The section includes:

  • an Add button
  • delivery option cards
  • a menu on each delivery option card for Edit and Delete

Each delivery option can include:

  • delivery option name
  • description
  • price
  • delivery time in days

  • the downloadable switch controls whether the preview file can be downloaded

Save Product Changes

When you edit the product details tab, OpenMirai shows a save bar.

Use it to save your updates.

If the update succeeds, OpenMirai refreshes the product data. In some status-related cases, OpenMirai may return you to the products list after the change is completed.

Use The Reviews Tab

Open the Reviews tab when you want to review customer feedback for the product.

This tab shows:

  • the overall rating summary
  • the rating breakdown
  • the review list
  • a way to load more comments when more reviews are available

Add An External Review

If your role allows review management, the Reviews tab also shows an Add button.

Use it when you want to add a curated review manually.

The external review form includes:

  • first name
  • last name
  • profile picture
  • star rating
  • review text

This is useful when you want to publish trusted reviews collected outside the platform.

Publish, Unpublish, Hide, Or Delete A Product

Use the page actions as follows:

  • use Publish when the product is ready to go live
  • use Unpublish when you want to move a live product back to draft
  • use Hide product when you want to remove it from learner view without deleting it
  • use Delete product only when you want to remove it permanently

OpenMirai shows confirmation before these actions are applied.

If The Page Is Loading

While product information is loading, OpenMirai shows loading placeholders for the page content.

Wait until the product details appear before making major edits, especially if you need to check the current setup first.

If Validation Errors Appear

If required information is missing, OpenMirai shows validation feedback in the affected section.

Common examples include:

  • missing title or description
  • invalid price for paid products
  • missing stock quantity for physical products
  • missing delivery options for physical products
  • missing digital files for digital products

Review the highlighted section, correct the issue, and save again.
