Manage Pages in the Web Editor

Learn how to use the Pages panel in the Admin Web Editor, open page actions, switch between draft and live pages, and move safely between pages while editing.

This guide explains how to use the Pages panel inside the Admin Web Editor.

Use it when you want to:

  • open another custom page for editing
  • create a new page from the page list
  • review which pages are live or draft
  • rename, configure, or delete a page
  • open layout settings from the page-management panel

Before You Start

Open the Web Editor first from System > Platform Customization.

Then open the Pages tool from the left side of the builder.

Open The Pages Panel

The Pages panel is the main place for managing website pages inside the builder.

Use it when you want to:

  • see all editable custom pages in one list
  • move from one page to another
  • open quick actions for one page
  • start creating another page

If the builder is still loading, you may briefly see placeholder rows before the full list becomes available.

Understand The Top Of The Panel

At the top of the Pages panel, OpenMirai shows:

  • a page-list title
  • a Layout Settings button
  • a + button for adding a page

Use Layout Settings when you want to change layout rules that apply at the global level.

Use the + button when you want to open the page-creation window.

Read Each Page Row

Each page row helps you identify the page before opening it.

A row can show:

  • the page name
  • the page path
  • a status badge such as Live or Draft
  • a status switch
  • a more-actions menu

The page you are currently editing is highlighted in the list so you can see where you are.

Open Another Page For Editing

To open a different page, select its row in the Pages panel.

OpenMirai then switches the builder to that page.

This is useful when you want to move between custom pages without leaving the Web Editor.

What Happens If You Switch Pages With Unsaved Work

If the current page still has unsaved changes, OpenMirai can stop the page switch and show an unsaved-changes warning first.

This warning can give you actions such as:

  • Save & Switch
  • Discard

Use Save & Switch when you want to keep the latest edits before opening the next page.

Use Discard only when you are sure the unsaved changes are no longer needed.

Change A Page Between Draft And Live

Each page row includes a switch for page status.

Use this switch when you want to:

  • make a draft page live
  • move a live page back to draft

If you turn a live page back to draft, OpenMirai updates the page status directly.

If you turn a draft page live, OpenMirai opens a confirmation step before finishing the change.

What Happens When You Activate A Page

When you activate a draft page, OpenMirai asks you to confirm the change.

If another live page already uses the same path, the confirmation window explains that the other live page will be deactivated automatically.

This helps prevent more than one live page from staying active on the same path.

Use the activation confirmation carefully, especially when the affected path is already being used by a visitor-facing page.

Understand The Activation Confirmation Window

The activation confirmation window is the safety step that appears before OpenMirai makes a page live.

This window can include:

  • a short activation summary for the page you selected
  • a list of currently live pages that use the same path
  • a warning that the affected live pages will no longer be accessible to visitors
  • a confirmation action such as Yes, Activate

Use this window to review the impact before you continue.

If there is a path conflict, OpenMirai shows the affected live pages in the dialog so you can see what will be replaced.

What To Expect While Activation Finishes

After you confirm activation, OpenMirai can briefly show an Activating... state.

During that time, the dialog action is temporarily unavailable until the status change finishes.

This is normal while the builder updates the page and any conflicting live page at the same path.

Use The Page Actions Menu

Each page row also includes a more-actions menu.

Use this menu when you want to:

  • Rename Page
  • open Layout Settings for just that page
  • Delete Page

These actions help you manage one page without leaving the list.

Rename Or Adjust One Page

Use Rename Page when you want to change the page name or update the page path.

Use page-level Layout Settings when you want this page to behave differently from the global layout settings.

These actions open separate windows so you can finish the change before returning to the page list.

Delete A Page

Use Delete Page only when you no longer need that page and its content.

OpenMirai shows a confirmation step before deletion because this action is permanent.

If only one page remains, the delete action is not available from the list.

Understand The Delete Confirmation Window

The delete confirmation window is the final safety step before OpenMirai removes the page.

This window can include:

  • a short message showing which page you are deleting
  • a clear warning that the page and its content will be removed permanently
  • a delete confirmation action such as Yes, Delete

Use this window to pause and confirm that the page is no longer needed.

Because deletion is permanent, this is the point where you should double-check that you selected the correct page.

What To Expect While Deletion Finishes

After you confirm deletion, OpenMirai can briefly show a Deleting... state.

During that time, the delete action is temporarily unavailable until the removal finishes.

This is normal while the builder removes the selected page and refreshes the page list.

What To Expect While Managing Pages

While you use the Pages panel, you may notice:

  • the current page row highlighted
  • Live and Draft badges beside each page
  • the row action menu appearing when you hover over a page
  • a temporary loading state while some actions finish
  • confirmation windows before risky actions such as activation or deletion

This is normal while the builder updates page settings.

What To Do Next

  • use the + button when you are ready to add a new page
  • review page status before making a page live
  • use the row menu when you need page-specific actions
  • save the current page before switching to another page
